Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do,than by the things you did. So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour, and catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – H.Jackson Brown Jr.

We are Victoria and Daniel. Our story? Extraordinarily ordinary. A wild BC girl meets a small-town Alberta boy one frigid winter night in Edmonton. How we got this far, we will never know. Both now graduated from the University of Alberta, Victoria works as a Registered Nurse, and Daniel, as Civil Engineer. After 5 long years in Edmonton, we are now on Vancouver Island.

We’ve decided to create this blog as a reminder. A reminder that the world of explorers isn’t just made up of digital nomads, full-time travellers and Instagram sensations; but that there are many, like us, who crave a very normal and simultaneously abnormal existence, where adventure and curiosity meets sleeping in on a Sunday morning in the comfort of your own bed.

We wanted to create a platform that will grow and evolve as we do, wherever our lives may take us. A platform that will give us the ability to express ourselves and our passions without limitation. We may have a passion for adventure and discovery, but we also have a passion for our careers, and the meaningful change we may bring about by finding the balance between the two. We hope you will join us as we share the lessons of our lives.
